Shiva and Yasaman present takeover study at IEEE Intelligent Vehicles 2026
Shiva Azimi and Yasaman Hakiminejad presented their work at the IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium (IV 2026). Together with our collaborators, they ran a major study of human–automated vehicle interaction, examining how context and secondary tasks shape drivers’ cognitive, physiological, and behavioral states in the moments before a takeover, using a rich multimodal dataset collected in our lab.

The work was supported by a Villanova Research Catalyst Grant, which brought our lab together with colleagues in Electrical and Computer Engineering and in Psychological and Brain Sciences. We are grateful for the support and for a fabulous team.
A journal article on this work is on its way. Stay tuned.
